Six years ago he was one of Östergötland's most talked about people. By then he had taken over the old Arbisteatern in Norrköping, set up a burlesque show with a lot of nudity and put a swingers club in the theater basement.

But it became financial problems and complaints. In the end, he gave up. The documentary film Six Temple ends with Robin leaving Östergötland to start burlesque shows in Egypt.

"But they imprisoned 26 gays in Egypt, so I was banned by my partner from going there," Robin Karlsson says, when we meet him at the cafe in Motala.

It was moved to Malmö instead but there he never established himself but eventually he returned to Norrköping.

Nowadays he has a permanent position as a mask at Småland's music and theater in Jönköping. In addition, he and a friend have taken over a couple of cafes in Norrköping and Finspång. Therefore, he was asked if he could not take it over in the Radio Museum as well, since it was empty for a while.

"I am back"

Robin Karlsson has been to Motala before. Ten years ago he put on the gigantic show Theater Boat in Motala workshop. And one of the amateur actresses from there is now allowed to stand in the cash register at the café.

- I love Robin, I really do. Being in the Theater Boat is the most fun I've been to and so Robin heard from me a few weeks ago: "I am back" he wrote on Messenger, and then he asked if I wanted to work here, says Anette Sundqvist.

The big dream

But the café business is just a side track for Robin Karlsson - for the big dream lives on.

- Some time I go to Egypt and do a burlesque show, otherwise I have failed in life, he says.
