Italy coach Conor O'Shea made three changes in the starting lineup on Wednesday to face the French XV at the Stade de France in the World Cup prep match in Japan (20 September-2 November), all within the front five.

Compared to the team that started against Russia on August 17 (85-15), the Irishman changed his two pillars, with the return of Simoni Ferrari on the left in place of Federico Lovotti, and the one on the right of Marco Riccioni at the expense of Tiziano Pasquali. They both slide on the bench.

A notch lower, Alessandro Zanni has been preferred in second line to David Sisi.

The starting XV: Hayward - Bellini, Campagnaro, Morisi, Minozzi - (o) Allan, (m) Tebaldi - Polledri, Parisse (cap), A. Steyn - Ruzza, Zanni - Riccioni, Bigi, Ferrari

Replacements: Zani, Lovotti, Pasquali, Budd, Negri, Palazzani, Canna, Benvenuti
