The Minister of Education wants each class to have an "eco-delegate" to implement ecological actions. "A good idea," according to Justine and Camille, two high school girls interviewed by Europe 1.

D-5 before the return. Tuesday, the Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer presented the novelties for this vintage 2019, including the creation of "eco-delegates". In each class of each college and lycée in France, a student will now be in charge of setting up, on a daily basis, concrete actions to support ecology. Asked by Europe 1, Camille and Justine, who are enjoying their last days of vacation in Paris, are rather enthusiastic about this initiative.

"It's a good idea, because we are a bit of the future generation, we have to contribute to the environment, so I think it's a good idea," says one, who is already imagining concrete actions "Outings where we go to a park and we collect garbage We have no beach, I would have done on the beach otherwise it would be cool, really," smiles the girl.

"Small actions make big ones"

His comrade is not left out. "In the street, there are garbage cans but no sorting, we throw everything we want," she regrets. His idea ? "Make two bins, one for plastic and one for other waste, for example".

From there to imagine Justine and Camille to be part of the 2050,000 future eco-delegates, there is only one step that teenagers cross. "Why not, if I can help save the planet, why not?" Says one. "If we are only two to do it, it will not work, but if it can help other people to do it, small actions are big," concludes her friend.
