Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn has assured that his party will do "everything possible" to avoid a Brexit without agreement, in an article released Tuesday by The Independent newspaper .

The leftist politician lamented that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson "flattened" the US president and warned that an abrupt departure from the European Union (EU) will, in fact, amount to forging "a 'Brexit' agreement with (the President Donald) Trump, "which will leave this country at the mercy of the United States.

Corbyn also believes that not reaching any consensus with the 27 before the deadline of October 31 will benefit the wealthiest in the country and will be what he called a "'Brexit' for bankers." The politician plans to meet today with other leaders of British political parties to raise and explore proposals with which to abort the possibility of a sharp march.

Corbyn has said that the country now needs an "injection of democracy" that, according to him, could come in the form of a referendum or general elections.

"In those elections, Labor will offer a referendum, with a credible (EU) exit option , as well as an option to stay," said the veteran politician without "discarding" other options "that could curb this disaster (of a Brexit without agreement) ", and he plans to analyze with the other party leaders.

As he explains in that newspaper, "the battle to stop a Brexit without agreement is not a struggle between those who want to leave the EU and those who want to continue inside."

He clarified that it is "a battle of many against the few who have kidnapped the result of the referendum (of 2016) to transfer even more power and wealth to those who are at the top."

"That is why the Labor Party will do everything necessary to stop a Brexit without agreement to (benefit) the bankers," he added.

For his part, Boris Johnson arrives from participating this weekend at the G7 summit in Biarritz (France), during which he has admitted that the possibility of ending without agreement before October 31 is now "uncertain."

Among the political leaders who are expected to meet Corbyn are the leader of the Democratic Liberal Party, Jo Swinson, and the leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party in Westminster, Ian Blackford, as well as Anna Soubry, of the Independent Group for Change, and Liz Saville- Roberts of Plaid Cymru.
