"We condemn this and express strong protest in connection with the statement of the leaders of the G7 member countries, which set out baseless accusations in connection with the situation in Hong Kong," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang quoted TASS as saying.

He also said that “not a single foreign organization or government” has the right to intervene in the situation with Hong Kong.

The leaders of the G7 member countries expressed concern about the mass demonstrations in Hong Kong.

Earlier, European Council President Donald Tusk said that G7 leaders have made progress on some of the key challenges, including the situation in Hong Kong.
