In addition to the two women who were charged with sexual assault, a third is now on file. This is Annabella Sciorra known for her role in the series The Sopranos .

The actress accuses Harvey Weinstein of having raped her in 1993. She had already testified in 2017 in the magazine New Yorker , but until now she had not appeared in court. These charges are prescribed, but the actress can still be heard under oath.

The goal is to make Weinstein's case as severe as possible by condemning him for the most serious charge of "predatory sexual assault". For this, the prosecution will have to convince the jury of the repetition of the attacks.

In total more than 80 women have accused Weinstein , but the number of those who will be heard at his trial is still unknown. This Monday morning in New York, Harvey Weinstein very quickly appeared in court. The prosecutor informed him of this new indictment.

True to his line of defense, Weinstein, who faces life imprisonment and has always spoken of consensual sex, once again pleaded not guilty.
