According to Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron wondered if his American counterpart “approved” the visit of the head of the Iranian foreign ministry to France at the G7 summit.
“I knew everything he did,” said the US president.
He added that it is “too early” to meet with Zarif.
Macron and Zarif had previously held talks in Biarritz.
