“In violation of the requirements of the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, the pro-presidential majority in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deliberately prepares the approval of the composition of parliamentary committees without observing constitutionally defined quota guarantees for political parties in order to appropriate the rights and powers of opposition forces ... we are talking about usurpation of power,” statement published on the party’s website.

According to the party, in this way the opposition is deprived of authority to control the activities of the authorities and uphold democracy in the country.

In addition, such a situation allegedly violates the rights of Ukrainian citizens, whose interests should be represented by the government.

In connection with the situation, party representatives appealed to the Prosecutor General, the Security Service and the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine with a request to give a legal assessment of the actions of the “Servants of the People”.

Earlier in the "European Solidarity" said that the coalition in the Parliament will include "Servant of the people", "Fatherland" and "Voice".

On August 26, the “Servant of the People” announced many changes to the Constitution.
