This was stated by the investigator during a meeting of the Moscow City Court, reports RIA Novosti.

“The value of the property seized in this case exceeds 27 billion rubles,” he said.

On August 26, the Moscow City Court is considering appeals from Abyzov’s defense for the seizure of property and accounts.

In July, former minister’s lawyer Sergei Drozd said the courts had seized Abyzov’s property worth more than 20.6 billion rubles.

Abyzov is accused of creating a criminal community and fraud on a particularly large scale. According to investigators, the ex-minister kidnapped and brought abroad 4 billion rubles.
