Housing has been protesting against the quake and, according to the comments, the company Swerock has now submitted revisions in the application to reduce noise disturbances.
The municipal management in Alvesta was positive to the planned mining in Engaholm and sees that it can create more jobs. In the neighboring municipality of Växjö, the management has wanted the quarry to be stopped, partly because trucks would pass through the small community of Gemla in Växjö municipality.
The permit that has now come from the County Administrative Board is valid until 2039.
