A counter-expert opinion contradicted one of the plaintiffs, who claimed that some messages sent to the Islamologist dated before the rape she denounced.

REACTION

The investigation continues in the context of the "Tariq Ramadan case" and the complaints filed for rape against the Islamologist. As revealed on Monday Europe 1 , a technical counter-expertise contradicted the version of one of the complainants, Chrystelle (the first name was changed). These 255 messages that she herself had exhumed, had been handed over to the investigators in disorder and truncated.

However, according to this counter-expertise, contrary to what she argued, these messages do not date from before the rape she denounces. Thus, according to information from Europe 1, the next day and the day after the events denounced, Chrystelle wrote in particular to the Islamologist: "thank you for these moments", or "if I spent a bad time I would have left". "These messages are dictated by fear and control," says Europe 1 counsel for the plaintiff, Me Eric Morain.

"IT expertise is not questionable"

Returning to the error of his client, Me Eric Morain recognizes that "computer expertise is not questionable". "On two or three SMS that she sought to reconstruct just for the benefit of her memory, she was mistaken and regrets because she never wanted to lie to the judges," he adds, ensuring that in 22 months, "she has never been faulted on her memory".

"As soon as the computer expertise was put in the file, it was immediately asked that my client be re-heard by the investigating judges, unanswered so far," says Eric Morain. Chrystelle "contributes to the manifestation of the truth and wishes to continue to do so", he insists.

"Tariq Ramadan was one of the most influential men in the world"

For Me Eric Morain, the tone of the messages is explained by the influence exerted by Tariq Ramadan on his alleged victims. According to him, "these messages are dictated by fear and control, and all the evidence shows that he was trying to make these women say what they did not want to say." "That's what happened to my client," he adds, "as long as she was not safe, she told him what he wanted to hear." And to conclude, "thereafter , the messages have completely changed in nature ".

"You have to remember who Tariq Ramadan was in 2009, 2012, 2012. One of the most influential men in the world, he was received by the pope, telling these women that he had men ready to die for him in the hour if necessary ".
