According to Peskov, relations with Russia are recovering with the overwhelming majority of G7 members and are currently on a fairly positive track. He cited the example of Moscow’s relations with France, Italy, Germany and Japan.

“So far, it has not been possible to restore with some countries, but we hope that common sense will prevail sooner or later,” he said.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that work is underway to include Russia in the format of the "Big Seven."

According to him, there are “a number of people” in G7 who would like Russia to return to the G7 format.
