UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi said the main and reserve crew of the space mission to the International Space Station are conducting several experiments, as the mission approaches, at the Yuri Gagarin center to compare results before and after the mission.

"The tests this week included balance, sensory adjustment, motion control and more," he added in a tweet on Twitter.

Hazza Al Mansoori, the first Emirati astronaut, said: "My mission to space is a milestone for me, my country and the entire Arab region in general, and this mission is just the beginning of the UAE's plans to invade space."

The main astronauts team, including Hazza Mansouri, will fly to the International Space Station aboard the Russian Soyuz MS15 spacecraft from the Baikonur space station in Kazakhstan on September 25, where they will spend eight days aboard the station.

The team consists of Hazza Al Mansouri, UAE astronaut and Jessica Mir, US astronaut and Oleg Serpushka, Russian astronaut.
