According to the American side, Israel attacked Iranian targets in Syria.

“The Secretary of State expressed support for Israel’s right to self-defense against threats emanating from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, and to actions to prevent possible attacks on its facilities in the region,” it was informed.

Earlier, the Israeli Defense Forces press service reported that their fighters attacked several "terrorist" Iranian targets near Damascus in Syria.
