According to the head office, the gardener serving the cottage turned to the police and reported the theft, the Moscow news agency reports.
“The police officers who arrived at the site found that the unknown person, having pressed a window in the kitchen, entered the cottage at the indicated address, where, having pressed the safe door, he stole money belonging to the victim in the amount of 14 million 208 thousand rubles,” the Interior Ministry said.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under the article on theft on a particularly large scale.
In July, an unknown person entered a research institute in the center of Moscow and stole 3 million rubles from a safe.
