- The fire went out completely last night. Everything is under control, says Linda Netterström, press officer at Tui, to TT.

On Saturday, Tui evacuated 43 Swedes living in hotels near the fire-stricken area. All of them have now returned to their hotels.

"Worrying close"

The latest confirmed job given to Linda Netterström was that the fires were within a mile of the hotels, but according to unverified information, it may have been significantly closer than that, she says.

- It's been alarmingly close.

Travel agency Apollo evacuated 32 Swedish guests during Saturday's fires.

- The guests slept at other hotels during the night, but today this morning they have moved back to their original hotels, says Clara Larsson, press officer at Apollo.

-It apparently still smells a little smoke, but it should be perfectly safe to be there.

TT: How did the guests experience the evacuation?

- It was a little different. Some have been more cutting edge than others, but the reports I received are that it has been very calm and that it has gone well, says Clara Larsson.

No cause for concern

From Tui, four planes with new vacationers land on Samos on Sunday.

-We sent out SMS last night to assure them that the fire was extinguished, because it is clear that if you have a trip so close to a large fire you can feel concern. But now there are no grounds for concern, says Linda Netterström.
