Dr. Mansour Bin Nassar, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Elections of the Sharjah Consultative Council, has confirmed that a new electronic system has been established to register all members of the electoral bodies, each in his electoral district, without incurring the trouble of coming to the headquarters of the electoral district. He said during a press conference that the candidates will be registered from 20 to 22 October, while voting will be from 20 to 23 November, by four days, noting that the preliminary results of the count will be announced November 24, and the final list of winners will be announced November 28.

He pointed out that every citizen who meets the basic conditions, and over the age of 21 years, has the right to register or update his election data to elect the candidate he wants, noting that the voting mechanism will be via electronic screens, and printed to be placed in the Fund, and the votes will be electronically counted.

He explained that the committee worked to strengthen the parliamentary work in the emirate, and to involve the citizen in the decision-making process, in accordance with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

It should be noted that the participation rate in the elections of the first session of the Advisory Council reached 67% at the emirate level, and the number of members of the electoral college 24,952 voters, and the number of those who voted 16 thousand and 696, produced 21 winners from 195 candidates.
