Contacts in progress

Emmanuel Macron reported on Sunday contacts in progress " with all the countries of the Amazon (...) so that we can finalize very concrete commitments of technical and financial means ." " We are working on an international mobilization mechanism to help these countries more effectively ," said the head of state.

As for the longer-term issue of Amazon reforestation, " several sensitivities have been expressed around the table, " Macron added, stressing the countries' commitment to national sovereignty.
