Due to an episode of pollution with ozone, differentiated traffic will be put in place from Sunday in the Paris area and the maximum speed allowed will be reduced, announced Saturday the Paris police headquarters.
This installation of the differentiated circulation, from 05H30 and until the end of the episode of pollution, was decided because of the "strong heat and the sunshine announced for the days to come favoring the increase of the concentrations of ozone, "said a statement from the Paris Police Prefecture (PP).
"Only vehicles bearing a Crit'Air sticker class 0, 1 and 2 will be allowed to circulate" within the perimeter defined by the A86 (with the exception of this one), ie Paris and the small crown.
"Other vehicles will not be able to circulate," the statement said. This concerns gasoline cars registered before the end of 2005 and diesel cars registered before the end of 2010. The PP said that the controls will not concern "people returning to the Paris region this Sunday", in this period of return from vacation.
According to the State services, Airparif, the air quality monitoring association in Ile-de-France, "forecasts an ozone concentration of between 170 and 200 g / m³, which is likely to exceed threshold of information-recommendation for this pollutant, set at 180? g / m³ ".
In June, the Minister of Ecological Transition François de Rugy (since replaced by Elisabeth Borne) had announced that differentiated traffic would now be triggered much faster in the Paris region in the event of a pollution episode.
