Locally stormy showers are expected in the Southern Alps, the northern border Alps and the Corsican mountain.

Friday's weather will be similar to this Thursday, with sunshine in most regions and more unstable weather in the southeast, says Météo-France.

After the dissipation of the rare banks of fog, the day looks calm on most of the regions. The sun will shine again generously, barely thwarted by a light cloudy veil over the north-west of the country to the Belgian border, as well as the vicinity of the Pyrenees.

Up to 34 degrees in Southwest and Provence

On the South-East however, the sun will be less frank. On Corsica at the beginning of the day, then on the Alps from the morning, clouds will be numerous and sometimes threatening. They will give locally stormy showers on the Southern Alps, the northern Alps border and the Corsican mountain.

The minimum temperatures will range from 8 to 16 degrees in general, 17 to 23 degrees around the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, the maximum will continue to rise. It will be 21 to 27 degrees near the Channel, 27 to 33 degrees elsewhere, up to 34 degrees in the Southwest and Provence.
