The State Department confirmed the imposition of sanctions in the Skripals case since August 26

The document is distributed in the electronic database of the US Federal Register and will be published on August 26.

It is noted that the State Department decided to impose additional sanctions on March 29, 2019.

It is also reported that the sanctions include a ban on lending to the Russian government by American banks, restrictions on exports from Russia.

On August 3, the State Department announced the introduction of a second package of sanctions against Russia in connection with the case of poisoning in Britain of a former GRU employee Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia.
