“Obviously, we also need to think about changes in the labor legislation for the future, bearing in mind various forms of labor regulation, including the so-called remote work and flexible work hours, and, in the future, maybe a transition to a four-day work week” , - RIA Novosti quoted Medvedev as saying.

At the same time, he noted that "this cannot be understood now too literally, this, of course, not this very second."

Medvedev noted that the discussion about the possible introduction of a four-day work week in Russia has long been ripe and he ordered the ministries to work out these issues.

Earlier it was reported that Medvedev instructed the Russian Ministry of Labor before the end of September to submit to the government his position on the prospects of introducing a four-day working week.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, in an interview with the FBA "Economics Today" appreciated this initiative.
