In Chile, Brazil offered assistance in extinguishing fires in the Amazon
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile, Antonio Walker, discussed with his Brazilian counterpart the situation with the fires in the Amazon.
“I contacted the Brazilian Minister of Agriculture to propose everything in our power to deal with major fires in the Amazon. As the Ministry of Agriculture, we must show solidarity with a country that is in trouble, ”Walker wrote on his Twitter page.
Earlier media reported that more than 75 thousand fires occurred in the Brazilian rainforests, which is a record high over the past seven years.
French leader Emmanuel Macron said that fires in the Amazon are an international crisis, and G7 countries need to discuss this issue.
