"The Chinese military express strong dissatisfaction and strong protest on this issue," U.S. Qiang, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of China, quoted TASS as saying.
He noted that the PRC military has already made a strict submission to the American side.
Wu Qian also added that “Taiwan is an integral part of the PRC” and that the supply of fighters is an interference in the internal affairs of China.
On August 21, the US State Department announced its intention to supply 66 F-16 aircraft to Taiwan.
