Have you wrapped the parasol in the storage room and put away all the sunscreen? Then it may be a situation to rethink. It looks like the summer heat is on its way back over the weekend.

In southern Sweden, it is admittedly sunny and high temperatures already during Friday, while northern Götaland and Svealand are met by rain. Neither in the northern parts of the country is there any real summer weather to speak of.

But that is about to change.

Sun throughout the country

When the morning fog has settled on Saturday, warm temperatures are expected all over the country, from 15-20 degrees in northern Norrland to just over 25 degrees in the southeast. Clear summer weather and good location for swimming, Tora Tomasdottir says.

- So late in the summer, there is still heat left in lakes and the sea. It's good weather and a good place to have an ice cream and enjoy, she says.

For the southern half of the country, the warm weather looks to stay well into next week, perhaps as long as until Thursday.

- It may be the last decent period of heat, though it may come individual days later. It's a good time to take advantage now when it comes over a weekend, says Tora Tomasdottir.

The UV radiation is not as strong this year either, so the risk of burning is less now than during the high summer.

The fall will come later

Anyone who has longed for autumn and cozy TV evenings may thus have to wait a while or move where autumn's arrival has already happened, for example in parts of the Lapland mountains.
