Two girls and three boys, aged 13 to 22, died in this drama. Eight others were transported to the hospital "in critical condition", as well as 32 in a more stable state. More than 80 wounded lighter were taken care of on the spot by the relief.

It is a jostling that would be at the origin of the drama. On social networks, Internet users evoke a rush that occurred around 8 pm, about an hour before the start of the rapper Soolking's concert. Hundreds of fans, with tickets, would have wanted to enter through one of the doors, not open enough.

How to explain this drama? Either too many tickets were sold, or security had previously let in spectators without a ticket. Anyway, the queues were visibly very compact, with a crazy world already waiting since the beginning of the afternoon.

Soolking more and more popular

It must be said that rapper Soolking has exploded in popularity in recent months,
since one of his songs, " Liberty ", dedicated to the revolt against the Bouteflika system , has become the anthem of youth in the demonstrations.

This Friday, the organizer of the concert, the National Copyright Office, is in the spotlight of criticism. Thus, the Algerian news site Le Matin d'Algérie questions the logic of organizing only one concert in the singer's hometown and in a stadium that can hold only 15,000 seats.
