Zelensky called on the EU to oppose Russia's accession to the G7

"Vladimir Zelensky called on the European Union to take a decisive position on the impossibility of Russia returning to the Seven without eliminating the reasons why Russia was once excluded from it," the report said.

Earlier, a representative of the American administration said that the issue of Russia's return to the G8 format could be raised at the G7 summit in France.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the proposals to return Russia to the G8 format, which had been heard in recent days, were made in a frivolous form.
