"Gema's parents live in Spain and want to bury their daughter with them, but unfortunately they lack financial resources," they explained in the text that accompanied the request for financial help signed by the Zara Mannheim team, an establishment in which the young woman Spanish worked for three years.
In just a few days, they have obtained 15,170 euros to pay for the repatriation of the remains of Gema, whose murder is being investigated as a case of sexist violence.
Citizen contributions have been channeled through the gofundme.com micromanagement platform.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is awaiting the conclusion of the autopsy of Gema and other police procedures to assist in the procedures for repatriation of his body to Spain.
The Fuenlabrada City Council had also offered to pay for these expenses. In addition, professionals of the Victim Attention Service are serving people in the most intimate environment of the young woman.
