According to Blokhin, the Americans are trying to "probe the information field" and find various clues in order, as the analyst emphasized, to seize at least some opportunity to shift the blame on Russia.

In his opinion, the United States has not formed a single general line, which must be defended.
“I think that they are trying to find various comments by political scientists, experts, and officials in order to try to form this basis,” Blokhin concluded.
Earlier, the US State Department published a report saying that Russia allegedly “decided to violate” the INF Treaty because of the growing threats around its borders.
The report notes that by 2007, "Russia openly spoke of its desire to put an end to the INF Treaty or change it."
On August 19, the Pentagon announced the test of a banned INF Treaty cruise missile. As noted in the military department, the development of a new rocket began in February.
