Earlier, law enforcement authorities detained a member of the assembly of deputies of the Locomotive City District in the Chelyabinsk Region on suspicion of killing his wife. According to investigators, he shot her with a gun on the night of August 20-21. A criminal case was initiated in connection with the incident under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Murder”).
Later, the United Russia party announced that it would suspend Zaripov’s membership in the political force until a court decision.
