Camille Lecointre, Olympic medalist in 2016, and Aloïse Retornaz won in 470 the test event dedicated to sailing events, Thursday in Enoshima, on the site of the Tokyo 2020 Games.

At one year of the Olympics, the French pair has signed the best performance of the French team, committed to the 10 disciplines of the Olympic program.

"We went into pressure all week, we felt more and more comfortable, everything went really well from the beginning," said Lecointre, back on the track for a year and a half after giving birth to a little boy.

His new partner Aloïse Retornaz, with whom she won the bronze medal at the World Cups in early August, was equally delighted with their success.

"It's a beautiful symbol to win the test event a year from the Games, we were really in the Olympic configuration, it put us in the eye of the stars for the future. ", warned Retornaz, who has never experienced the Olympics.

The test-event ended Thursday but will be followed by a world cup stage, played from 25 August to 1 September, at which the tandem Lecointre / Retornaz will not take part.
