The representative of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Oceanography Alexey Smorodov said that they plan to send two killer whales and six belugas from the “whale prison” in Srednyaya Bay in Primorye to the place of release to the Sea of ​​Okhotsk on August 22.

“Everything is according to plan - two killer whales and six belugas. The weather changes every hour, we monitor the situation. So far, the dispatch is scheduled for August 22, ”RIA Novosti quoted Smorodov as saying.

At the same time, he noted that the time of sending cars with animals can be adjusted.

The first batch of two killer whales and six beluga whales was released into the natural environment on June 27, and the second, of three killer whales, was released on July 16. The third batch of killer whales was released on August 6.

State Duma deputy Oleg Shein, author of the Law on Responsible Animal Handling, in an interview with the FAN, assessed the likelihood of amendments to the law on animal cruelty.
