The Environment and Natural Reserves Authority (EPA) in Sharjah has managed to thwart the smuggling of animals listed in the international trade law «CITES» across the land border, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Sharjah Police - Al Madam Center Birds and crocodiles confiscated are among the list of endangered animals and are listed in CITES. The Madam police station took the necessary measures against them and handed them over to the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority.

The Siamese crocodile, which has been confiscated, is one of the rarest animals and an endangered species. The second type of bird confiscated is the trumpet with helmets.

After the smugglers were transferred, the Environment Agency released a violation and a fine in accordance with local and international environmental laws, which prohibit the trade in endangered animals, confiscation of passports and confiscation of animals in their possession.
