The incident occurred on a road at the height of Gåvetorp outside Alvesta. When the mopedist did not want to stop at the policeman's sign, the police patrol began to run after the moped.
After a while the mopedist must have thrown himself off the moped and moved out on an adjacent corn field.
The police then called a dog driver who could track the man out on the corn field, and he could soon be arrested.
The man, who was born in 1991, is now suspected of drunken driving under the influence of drugs, drug offenses, carelessness in traffic and for not stopping at the police's sign. The man was released after questioning.
