Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa, Foreign Minister Kono, and host Wang Lee, the foreign minister, have held three-party talks since 10:30 am.

Diplomatic ministers around the roundtables discussed ways to continue cooperation between the three countries and other issues in Northeast Asia.

Kang said that he hopes to resolve the problems of the three countries through this meeting, and hopes to find a way for the preparation of the three countries' summit and communication between Korea and Japan.

Kono also said that even if bilateral relations are difficult, the three-party cooperation should not stop. He also hopes to discuss future-oriented cooperation and North Korea.

Wang said the three nations are inseparable from each other, and constructively resolved bilateral conflict and asked for dialogue and cooperation.

Gang Kyung-hwa and Foreign Minister Kono will meet separately at 3:00 pm to hold bilateral talks.

The bilateral talks will include discussions on Japan's export restrictions to Korea, the Korea-Japan military information protection agreement, and Jisomi, three days ahead of the expiration date.

Kang pointed out the injustices in Japan's export control measures and said it will promptly withdraw its remarks, and said that Mr. Kono will demand South Korea to respond quickly to the issue of compulsory compensation.
