Samsung has announced the launch of its new Galaxy Watch Active 2.

The South Korean company explained that the new smart watch provides an electrocardiogram function, and relies on the new version of the operating system Tizen, in addition to it is available in two models with the support of LTE technology optional.

Samsung said the new smart watch is water resistant to IP68 protection, so it can be used while swimming.

The technology package for the new Samsung Active Watch 2 includes a 1.2 or 1.5-inch omlid display, with a resolution of 360 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Inside the new smartwatch is a dual-core Exion 9110 processor, which runs at up to 1.5 GHz with 768 MB or 1.5 GB of RAM in the LTE version.

The new smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5, 802.11n-WLAN, NFC and GPS.

Samsung pointed out that the 40 millimeter version comes with a battery capacity of 247 milliamps / hour, while the 44 millimeter version has a battery capacity of 340 milliamps / hour.

The new smartwatch offers many health and fitness functions, including an ECG.
