Abdullah Hamduk leads the government of Sudan

Sudan's Transitional Military Council expressed support for Hamduk.

Hamduk served as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

On August 21, all 11 members of the Sovereign Council, who will lead the country about three years before the next election, took the oath in Sudan.

Earlier, the Sudan Transitional Military Council and the opposition coalition Forces of Freedom and Change signed an agreement on a transitional period in the country.
