Local sources of the island said that the forces of the South Transitional Council supported by the United Arab Emirates stormed the camp of military police forces in the "Code" in the province of Abyan, southern Yemen.

The sources added that a plane belonging to the Saudi-Emirati coalition bombed the perimeter of the camp after storming, resulting in deaths and injuries.

The sources attributed the fall of the camp to the lack of police forces, compared to the reinforcements of the forces of the Southern Transitional Council.

In the city of Zanzibar, sources told the island that the security forces resist attempts by the forces of the Transitional Council to control the headquarters, despite the lack of armament and the number, compared to the other party.

This comes as mediation by military and tribal figures has failed so far to stop these clashes.

Battle details
The Anatolia news agency quoted a local source as saying that the security belt forces, led by Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Council Hani Ben Brik, took control of the police headquarters in Abyan, after fierce battles since dawn hours.

Since last night, the forces of the belt imposed a siege on the headquarters of the military police in the code, and the building of the Special Security Forces in the city of Zanzibar, and demanded the pro-government forces to withdraw, before a committee intervened to calm the situation.

But the fighting exploded at the headquarters of the military police, and its forces tried to repel the attack of the security belt forces and the use of tribesmen, but it did not work for the large forces of the belt and reinforced with armor, according to the same source.

The fighting resulted in the death of one of the soldiers of the military police and the injury of others, while a senior commander of the belt forces was injured.

Formal refusal
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry expressed its rejection of the support provided by the UAE to the Transitional Council and its armed militias and called for stopping this.

The Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hadrami refused to continue to provide UAE financial and military support to the forces of the Transitional Council, and called for a full and immediate halt.

`` The unjustified escalation in the southern Yemeni province of Abyan is unacceptable and unacceptable and will undermine and mediate Saudi mediation efforts, '' Hadrami said in tweets at the expense of the ministry.

"Two military positions have been besieged in a security move within the framework of the security belt," said Transitional Council spokesman Nizar Haitham, adding that "elements working to destabilize security and stability hiding in camps belonging to the legitimate government are being pursued."

The escalation comes despite statements by a spokesman for the Saudi-Emirati alliance that the UAE-backed security belt forces began to evacuate government positions they had taken over in Aden, and that the coalition was working to complete the withdrawal of these forces.

The security and military formations of the Transitional Council took control a few days ago on state institutions, camps and security headquarters in the interim capital Aden.

Earlier on Monday, Reuters quoted three Yemeni sources that the refusal of the Transitional Council in southern Yemen to give up control of the port of Aden, led to the postponement of a summit previously called by Riyadh, to discuss the restructuring of the Yemeni government, which was ousted by the Houthis.

The sources said that the inclusion of the Southern Transitional Council of the government is linked to its full withdrawal first and end the "coup", while the forces of the Council refused to withdraw.
