“Our armed forces are solidary in protecting freedom,” TASS quoted a joint statement by US President Donald Trump and Romanian President Klaus Johannis following a meeting in Washington.
The statement also notes that the strengthening of “defensive positions” on NATO’s eastern flank, in particular on the Black Sea, is of strategic importance for transatlantic security.
On July 20, it was reported that more than 3,000 military personnel would participate in NATO exercises in Georgia.
