On July 21, the Swedish Transport Administration was alerted to a tree that was likely to fall across road 331 a few miles from Sollefteå. According to the notifier, the big tree must have been a major traffic hazard as it leaned sharply and was pierced - but despite that, the tree was left standing.

Three weeks later, the tree fell over Ingela Dahlin's car. The tree crashed over the couple's car as they were on their way home to Söråker after a mountain vacation.

- I see how it is tipping more and more towards the roadway and understands that we will fall for that tree. I thought this is not going to happen, we will never do it, she says.

Want to see the Swedish Transport Administration act

Today, Ingela Dahlin and her partner are grateful to still be alive. Now she wants to see the Swedish Transport Administration act to prevent similar accidents from happening again.

"I want to see that these situations are taken seriously in the future," she says.

We are seeking the Swedish Transport Administration for a comment.
