The water level in Amur near Khabarovsk reached 600 cm
The water level in the Amur River near Khabarovsk rose to a mark of 600 cm. This is reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in the Khabarovsk Territory.
“According to the Far Eastern UGMS, the crest of the Amur flood is shifting near the city of Khabarovsk. At 08:00 (1:00 Moscow time) on August 20, 2019, the water level rose by 5 cm and amounted to 600 cm, reaching the mark of a dangerous phenomenon, ”RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, the head of the Far Eastern Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, Vyacheslav Parshin, said that in the Khabarovsk Territory a fourth wave of floods is expected in the next few days.
Typhoons Lekima and Kros can provoke new flooding.
