The Kremlin spoke about the possibility of meeting Putin and Zelensky

Spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov commented on the possibility of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

“There are more questions than answers. So far, there have been no hints about a possible meeting with President Zelensky, ”he said, answering a question about the possibility of a meeting of leaders.

Peskov also added that at the moment there is no data on the possible dates for the meeting in the Norman format.

“The work is carried out as soon as something is agreed - we will inform you,” he concluded.

On August 7, a telephone conversation took place between Putin and Zelensky.

During the conversation, Putin emphasized that in order to de-escalate the conflict in the Donbass, further shelling by Ukrainian forces of settlements in the region should be excluded, which ultimately leads to the death of civilians.

Putin later announced cautious optimism from negotiations with Zelensky.
