The acting Government of Spain announced on Tuesday that it will send the 'Audacious' ship of the Spanish Navy to the Italian island of Lampedusa to pick up migrants aboard the Open Arms.

Through a statement, the acting Executive indicated that the ship will leave this afternoon at 5 pm from the base of Rota (Cádiz), from where it will take three days to arrive to pick up the migrants and the ship's crew to transfer them later to the Port of Mallorca.
