Secretary of State Pompey, who appeared in the CBS News program, says he is concerned about North Korea's short-range missile launch.

It is true that North Korea has fired short-range ballistic missiles and hopes they will not.

Pompey said the negotiations did not go as fast as expected, and we know that the road will be bumpy.

[Secretary of State Pompeio / US: We hope that Kim Jong Un will come to the negotiation table for better results. That's better for North Koreans or for the world.]

President Kim Jong-un reiterated his denuclearization promise at last year's Singapore summit. He stressed President Trump's focus is on keeping Americans safe.

This statement takes US voters into account, but does not comment on the safety of allies directly affected by North Korean short-range missiles.

In response to the visit of South Korea's Special Representative Stephen V. Vegan, Mr. Pompeii calls for resumption of negotiations with North Korea, and what the DPRK will answer.
