The Gornaya mine of the Pervomaiskugol state-owned enterprise operates in life support mode. Since August 1, due to debts for previously consumed electricity, the enterprise has not been able to operate as usual ... The mine, due to lack of spare parts and lack of electricity, is operating in emergency mode and is at risk of flooding, ”he said.

At the same time, Volynets clarified that due to the current situation, coal is not mined at the mine, and the salaries of miners depend on this. According to him, to date, the company owed the miners money for June and July.

Earlier, workers at the Ukrainian mines Kurakhovskaya and Ukraine blocked the road, demanding payment of wage arrears. Later, the miners of the Kapitalnaya mine refused to work also because of wage arrears.

In early August, the representative of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the cabinet of ministers Andriy Gerus said that electricity was cut off in the mines of the Toretskugol state-owned enterprise in the Donetsk region.

At the same time, Gerus announced on August 20 that coal reserves at thermal power plants are currently 40% less than last year.
