The French dressage team composed of Arnaud Serre, Charlotte Chalvignac, Stephanie Brieussel and Morgan Barbancon, took the 10th place of the European Championships Tuesday in Rotterdam (Netherlands), insufficient to win one of the last three collective tickets for the Tokyo Olympics.

The title went to Germany, ahead of the Netherlands and Sweden, all three already qualified for the 2020 Olympics thanks to their ranking at the World Equestrian Games in 2018, as well as Great Britain, 4th in Rotterdam, and Spain, 6th Tuesday.

The last three places in the team play came back to Denmark (5th), Ireland (7th) and Portugal (8th).

For the French dressage riders, who had played in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (8th), the individual qualification for Tokyo-2020 will go through the "FEI olympic" ranking as of 31 December 2019, with two places reserved for riders from their geographical area (Western Europe), within the limit of one place per country which is not qualified by teams.
