The number of patients with gastritis has increased in Russia

So, in 2013, the number of patients with gastritis and duodenitis was 3.8 million people. In 2018, 4.1 million patients.

According to the data for 2018, the highest incidence of gastritis and duodenitis was recorded in the Altai Territory - 7510.5 cases per 100 thousand people. In second place is Chuvashia (4735 cases).

Next are Karelia (4609.9), Nenets Autonomous Okrug (4577.4) and St. Petersburg (4066.8).

The region with the lowest incidence of gastritis and duodenitis last year was the Jewish Autonomous Region (1180.1). Also, a low incidence rate was in North Ossetia (1513.6), Kabardino-Balkaria (1524.8), Kirov region (1527.2) and the Republic of Crimea (1710.4).

In Russia as a whole, the incidence rate of gastritis and duodenitis in 2018 amounted to 2806.8 cases per 100 thousand people.
