The main union of airline pilots and six hostesses and stewards organizations called on Monday to demonstrate on September 16 against pension reform, alongside lawyers and liberal nurses.

The SNPL pilots have "decided to join the professions that will demonstrate September 16 in Paris to require the maintenance of their complementary plan and taking into account the peculiarities of their activity," said a statement.

In addition, six hostess and steward unions (Unac, SNPNC, Unsa-PNC, Ugict-CGT Air France, UNPNC, SNGAF) also called in a joint statement "all the cabin crew (commercial cabin crew, ed) to demonstrate "the same day" to oppose the disappearance of (their) supplementary pension plan "and" defend (their) specificities ".

A regime in place since 1952

Drivers, hostesses and stewards have since 1952 a mandatory complementary legal scheme, the CRPN, "independent and self-financed" for the SNPL, "well managed and solid", according to PNC unions.

In his report released July 18, the High Commissioner for pension reform, Jean-Paul Delevoye, advocates the creation of a universal system by points, which would replace from 2025 the current 42 regimes, including the CRPN.

"If the principles of the reform and the creation of the universal system are not disputed by our organization, we strongly oppose the disappearance of the complementary legal and obligatory regime of the aircrew", writes the SNPL, for which "the political dogmatism does not should not lead to a feathering of schemes that have proven their effectiveness and good management for decades. "

Social partners received on 5 and 6 September

Mr. Delevoye's report must serve as the basis for a bill whose date of presentation is not yet fixed. Previously, social partners will be received by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on 5 and 6 September.

In mid-July, however, the National Bar Council called on lawyers to mobilize on 16 September. Last week, a Liberal nurses union rallied on this date.

Among the trade union federations or federations, FO on the one hand, the CGT and SUD-Rail on the other planned to take to the streets respectively on 21 and 24 September.
