The Palestinian Health Ministry said it had recovered the bodies of three young men killed by the Israeli army on Saturday night near the separation fence in the northern Gaza Strip.

The ministry said in a statement that it had recovered the bodies of Mahmoud al-Walayda, 24, Mohammed Abu Namous, 27, and Mohammed al-Tramsi, 26, without giving further details.

A fourth Palestinian was injured in the same incident.

The Israeli army announced Saturday night that it spotted armed Palestinians near the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip, and opened fire.

The operation took place overnight shortly after three rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel, one of which the army and police said fell in a town near the border, while the Iron Dome intercepted two.

Six Israelis were wounded by the rocket fire from Gaza, according to Yedioth Ahronoth.

In turn, the private channel "13" reported that the shrapnel of one of the three rockets landed on a house in the city of Sderot in the northeast of the Gaza Strip, injuring settlers in panic, as well as damage to the house.
