South Korea's chief representative from both sides at the 10th Defense Cost Sharing Agreement signed by the US, Jang Won-sam, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Timothy Betz, will meet in Seoul.

For this purpose, Mr. Betz is known to have come to Korea today.

Diplomatic sources say Mr. Zhang and Betz will meet the day after tomorrow to discuss the 11th round of negotiated defense contributions.

They are expected to discuss the detailed schedule and meeting method of the 11th defense fee negotiations, which will begin next month.

It is also possible that the United States could explain to South Korea the results of its global review of defense costs, which the US has been carrying out since last year.

However, since the US is planning to appoint a new 11th negotiating representative, it is highly likely that the two will not be directly involved in the next round of negotiations.

Earlier this year, the US signed a document that states that US troops will be required to pay US $ 1.33 trillion this year, an 8.2% increase from 960 billion last year.
